The survey results are from an independent consumer study lasting eight weeks with 161 participants. Approximately 20% of the participants had a history of sensitivity or irritation from other lash serums they used in the past.

In 2022, we introduced the latest lash-enhancing product to the RevitaLash® Cosmetics lineup, developed by ophthalmologists. The main difference lies in the key ingredients. We used ingredients known for their lash-beautifying benefits, designed to be gentle and lightweight. These ingredients were specifically chosen with sensitive and irritation-prone users in mind.

Our latest innovation, Revitasome® Technology, features a delivery system encapsulated in plant-based liposomes to help lashes absorb the ingredients steadily and gradually. The formula includes peptides and amino acids to strengthen and nourish lashes, along with ingredients such as rice protein and aloe vera, known for their gentle properties around the sensitive eye area.

RevitaLash® Advanced Sensitive is formulated without known irritants, including parabens, phthalates, gluten, or oils, just like RevitaLash® Advanced.

RevitaLash® Advanced Sensitive is specifically designed for individuals who are sensitive to lash serums, including RevitaLash® Advanced, and for those with sensitive eyes.

Since this is a completely new and unique formula created to meet a specific need, its price reflects the cost of new technology.

As with any cosmetic product applied near the eyes (such as mascara and eyeliner), eye safety is a top priority. This is especially true for RevitaLash® Cosmetics, which was founded by an ophthalmologist.

RevitaLash® Advanced Sensitive is designed to stay in place where applied without coming into contact with the eyes. The product features a thickening agent to ensure it remains on the lashes and does not seep into the eye’s tear fluid. Additionally, our unique applicator wand dispenses a very small amount of serum at the lash line.

An independent ophthalmologist from UCLA School of Medicine conducted a study on a similar product (RevitaLash® Advanced), using a fluorescent dye to track the product’s movement after application. The study confirmed that the serum does not enter the tear fluid.

This is significant for two reasons:

1. It means RevitaLash® Advanced is safe for the eyes since it does not come into direct contact with them.

2. It confirms that RevitaLash® Advanced does not enter the bloodstream, as absorption would typically occur through the eye’s surface.

Additionally, two independent experts in the UK—a respected ophthalmologist and a pharmacokinetics specialist—reviewed RevitaLash® Advanced safety tests and concluded that the body does not absorb any significant amount of the product.

Furthermore, an independent laboratory conducted a separate study where adult volunteers applied RevitaLash® Advanced daily for four weeks, following package instructions. A board-certified ophthalmologist examined participants’ eyes at the beginning and end of the study. The results showed no eye irritation or change in intraocular pressure over the four-week period.

Collectively, these tests demonstrate that RevitaLash® Advanced remains outside the eyes and does not cause physiological effects on them.

RevitaLash® Cosmetics, founded by a physician, prioritizes safety, ensuring all products undergo comprehensive and objective testing. RevitaLash® Advanced Sensitive has been clinically tested and has an excellent safety profile, just like all products in the RevitaLash® Cosmetics lineup.

Its safety for both skin and eyes has been confirmed through standard industry cosmetic tests, including:

- RIPT (Repeat Insult Patch Test)

- HET-CAM (Hen’s Egg Test on the Chorioallantoic Membrane)

- Microbiological testing

- Stability testing

- Ocular irritation potential assessment

As with all beauty products—including mascara and eyeliner—a very small percentage of users have reported sensitivity to RevitaLash® Advanced Sensitive.

Over a one-year period, 0.27% of users reported irritation, including temporary redness, swelling, itching, and a burning sensation in the eyes. Fewer users reported dryness of the eyes and eyelids, styes, darkening of the skin along the lash line, orbital fat loss, and lash loss.

Most reactions resolved after discontinuing use. It is unknown whether RevitaLash® Advanced Sensitive or another factor caused these reactions.
